What You're Looking For in a Wedding Photographer and Videographer Near Gloucestershire
Gloucestershire is blessed with some of the most romantic landscapes in the British Isles. Stretching from the dramatic ancient woodlands of the Forest of Dean across the Severn Vale to the golden stone villages and rolling limestone hills of the Cotswolds, the county offers an extraordinary tapestry of celebration settings. Whether you are walking down an aisle in a restored 17th-century Cotswold stone barn, taking sunset portraits beside a private lake, or celebrating under the dramatic stone turrets of a Gothic revival castle, you deserve photography and filmmaking that genuinely captures how your day felt.
That calm, unhurried mindset is the core of our approach. As a photo & video duo with over 400 weddings behind us, we take all the stress out of being photographed. If you feel camera shy, you are in great company: almost every single couple featured in our galleries felt the exact same way before their wedding day (and honestly, so would we!). We keep couple portraits to a relaxed 15 to 20 minute stroll during your drinks reception, giving you space to breathe, laugh, and be yourself. For the rest of the day, we blend into the background, capturing all the joyful, unscripted moments: the happy tears during the vows, the roaring laughter during speeches, and the high-energy dancefloor chaos.
The Kingscote Barn: Secluded Cotswold Valley Romance in Tetbury
Nestled at the bottom of its own private, undulating valley near Tetbury, The Kingscote Barn is widely regarded as one of Gloucestershire's most breathtaking barn venues. Restored from a 17th-century Cotswold stone threshing barn, it blends exposed wooden beams, flagstone floors, and dramatic floor-to-ceiling glass doors with panoramic vistas of rolling green pastures.
Two of our wonderful couples, Louise & Ryan and Graeme & Coz, celebrated their marriages at Kingscote Barn. The venue offers complete seclusion: no passing traffic, no public footpaths, and nothing to distract from the joy of your celebration.

Valley Strolls and Unforced Couple Portraits
During the afternoon drinks reception on the sun-drenched lawn, we guide couples on an effortless 15 to 20 minute stroll along the private valley paths. The surrounding hills shelter the grounds from the wind, while the soft Gloucestershire light creates a warm, natural glow on the pale limestone walls. We step back with telephoto lenses, letting you chat, laugh, and take in the excitement of being married.

As evening approaches, the golden hour over the Cotswold hills is truly magical. We invite couples for a quick 10-minute wander into the meadow just before dinner or speeches, capturing romantic portraits that look like stills from a classic film.

Clearwell Castle: Gothic Fairytale Splendour in the Forest of Dean
Set deep within the tranquil Forest of Dean, Clearwell Castle is one of Gloucestershire's most iconic and dramatic wedding venues. A Grade II* listed Gothic revival castle built in 1727, it features grand stone battlements, arched leaded windows, and 20 acres of manicured gardens and ancient woodland.
Zoe & Cory chose Clearwell Castle for their wedding day, making the most of the castle's 75-foot central aisle in the grand Ballroom. With its soaring vaulted ceiling, heraldic detailing, and warm candlelight, it creates an unforgettable sense of occasion as you walk down the aisle.

The grounds surrounding Clearwell offer endless variety: a serene lake with resident swans, an authentic stone portico, and hidden woodland trails beneath the trees of the Forest of Dean. Because we capture both stills and cinematic footage side by side, we document the sweep of the castle and the quiet, intimate smiles without interrupting your celebration.
The Barn at Upcote: Countryside Elegance Tucked Away in the Cotswolds
Hidden at the end of a long, peaceful country lane near Cheltenham, The Barn at Upcote is a beautifully restored Cotswold farmstead designed exclusively for weddings. Comprising a series of Cotswold stone barns arranged around a central courtyard and surrounded by sweeping green hills, it offers a harmonious blend of historic charm and modern architectural design.
Harriet & Kyle held their celebration here, enjoying the relaxed flow of the venue from their open-air ceremony to drinks in the courtyard garden.

What makes Upcote so special for photography and filmmaking is the uninterrupted Cotswold skyline. Just steps from the courtyard, quiet grassy tracks wind up into the open hills, giving couples a serene, unhurried portrait stroll while their guests enjoy lawn games below.

The Frogmill: 16th-Century Coaching Inn Character in Cheltenham

Featuring Cotswold stone walls, timber beams, a babbling brook, and a working water wheel, it offers a distinctively relaxed, convivial backdrop for weddings.

Lucy & Jack held their wedding celebration at The Frogmill, enjoying drinks on the riverside terrace and an unhurried couple stroll beside the willow trees. The venue's intimate atmosphere makes it a joy to document, allowing our cameras to capture candid guest conversations and laughter completely unnoticed.

Manor by the Lake: Victorian Italianate Splendour in Cheltenham
Located in Cheltenham, Manor by the Lake is an award-winning Victorian Italianate manor house offering an extraordinary blend of stately architecture and tranquil natural beauty. As the only seven-acre estate of its kind in Cheltenham, it provides an exquisite private sanctuary for wedding celebrations.

Lauren & Wayne celebrated their wedding here, making the most of the tranquil lake, weeping willows, authentic Italian garden, and dramatic Victorian ballrooms adorned with carved oak mantels and crystal chandeliers.

We take couples on a relaxed loop around the lake, stopping on the arched bridge and under the woodland canopy for quiet, unforced portraits before returning them swiftly to the terrace to rejoin their celebration.

Why Couples Book a Wedding Photographer and Videographer Team Together

Booking a united photo & video duo completely changes how your wedding day feels. When independent suppliers meet for the first time on your wedding morning, they naturally have to coordinate angles and share time, which can unintentionally double the length of your couple portrait session or lead to them stepping into each other's camera shots. Because Cam and Beth have filmed and photographed over 400 weddings together, we operate in complete harmony without ever having to say a word.
Beyond the calm atmosphere on the day, our combined Photo and Video Team package ensures a matching, cohesive colour grade across your entire photo gallery and cinematic film. You also benefit from simplified planning with one £120 deposit, clear communication, and an instant £300 package saving compared to booking photo and film separately.
A Wedding Videographer Near Gloucestershire, Not Just an Add-On
Cinematic wedding film captures the subtle emotion that still photos simply cannot: the sound of your voices during your vows, the laughter and cheers during speeches, and the incredible atmosphere as the evening dancefloor comes alive.

Every key memory is recorded to dual memory card slots simultaneously and duplicate-backed safely overnight, giving you absolute peace of mind.
Have Questions?
Frequently Asked Questions
We feel quite camera shy: how do you make couple photos feel natural?
Almost every couple we capture tells us they feel nervous in front of the camera (and honestly, so would we!). Our whole philosophy is built around removing that pressure completely. We never force stiff poses, fake smiles, or rigid positioning. Instead, we take you on a relaxed 15 to 20 minute walk around your venue grounds during the drinks reception, chatting and laughing while capturing natural, genuine connection.
Do you travel across Gloucestershire, Cheltenham, Tetbury, and the Forest of Dean with no extra fees?
Yes! Full travel throughout Gloucestershire, South Wales, the Cotswolds, and across England and Wales is completely covered in all our packages. Whether your wedding is in a secluded valley at The Kingscote Barn, a fairytale castle like Clearwell Castle, or a rural farmstead at The Barn at Upcote, you will never receive a surprise travel surcharge or extra mileage bill.
How do you coordinate photo and video during ceremonies at venues like The Kingscote Barn and Clearwell Castle?
Having filmed and photographed more than 400 weddings together side by side, we move in complete harmony without ever having to speak. We use compact, silent cameras that allow us to document your vows, emotional reactions, and guest laughter without intrusive lighting, bulky tripods, or blocking your guests' view of the ceremony.
How much time will couple portraits take out of our wedding day?
We believe you should spend at least 95% of your day celebrating with a drink in hand alongside your family and friends. Our main portrait walk takes only 15 to 20 minutes during the afternoon reception, followed by an optional 10-minute golden hour walk before your evening party starts.
What is included in the combined Photo and Video Team package?
Our combined package includes full-day coverage from morning preparations through to your evening dancefloor party, 600+ high-resolution edited images in an online gallery with full personal print rights, a 4 to 6 minute cinematic highlight film, complete documentary films of your ceremony and speeches, drone aerial cinematography (weather and airspace permitting), and sneak peek photos delivered shortly after your wedding.
Can you capture drone video at Gloucestershire country estates and barns?
Yes, drone aerial cinematography is included as standard in our video and combined packages, subject to airspace regulations and safe weather conditions. Gloucestershire venues with sprawling rural landscapes such as The Kingscote Barn, Clearwell Castle, and Manor by the Lake look extraordinary from the air.
